The Demonology of Desire joins Transgressive Visions
FanTasia Film Festival programmer and all around cult film guru Mitch Davis has been kind enough to include The Demonology of Desire as part of his touring block of contemporary transgressive/subversive Canadian shorts. Titled TRANSGRESSIVE VISIONS, the programme will premiere this August 20 at the Winnipeg Cinematheque (100 Arthur Street, Winnipeg), after which Davis has been invited to take it on the road for play at various alternative venues and festivals. “It’s a VERY unique/freakish/shocking collection of assaulting personal visions that also manages to be highly entertaining and surprising,” promises Davis. Among the films showcased will be Philip Eddolls’ What A Wonderful Day; Christopher R. Nash’s Day of John; Rodrigo Gudiño’s The Demonology of Desire; Davis’ own God’s Little Girl; Matt O’Mahoney’s Electric Fence; Rick Trembles’ Goopy Spasms Live Cartoon Show and Ken Takahashi’s Gary’s Touch. Adds Davis: “It bears mentioning that it would need to be mega Adults Only, which may be a problem for some venues and events, at least in North America!” It bears reminding that the program contains imagery of an explicit and unsavoury nature!
