In addition, the eclectic program will feature a retrospective on the films of Herschell Gordon Lewis, along with Embodiment of Evil, the latest film from Latin horror cult legend José Mojica Marins (a.k.a. Coffin Joe). The festival will open with Yoshihiro Nishimura’s Tokyo Gore Police. The venues for Macabro this year will be the National Film Archive (Cineteca Nacional), the National University of Mexico (Sala José Revueltas), and the Museum of Mexico City.
